So while I’m waiting for the rest of my parts, I’ve been contemplating. Tire size. 22 big horn night non orp. I ordered Fox front, icon 1.5 rear. First tires, 275/65 or 285/65? Mostly used for camping. Will eventually tow a boat and camper. Daily driver. I searched but maybe I just suck at it.
Second, the headlights suck. What did y’all non led/hid guys do for a solid upgrade? I was driving in the dark, snowstorm on wet black top and I couldn’t see squat.

Love the truck though. Thing is sweet

I would find out what tire you Want. See what size is more common in that tire. I went with 275/65r20 and it's was $25 cheaper as it's common.

I used these highs and lows work great

Non LED (I hate LED lighting on vehicles coming towards me) , the best upgrade if your new truck still uses H11 low beams is to do a H9 low beam bulb upgrade - night and day difference.
There is also a high beam upgrade if you want to do those and it is noticeable but not like the low beam upgrade.
I just installed my yellow 9006 halogen fog light bulbs - but haven't had a chance to use them yet. White light and snow/fog really don't mix.

PER the link on the above led lights.

Adjusted to the correct height and it doesn't blind people..... only people that just stick the bulbs in and go typically blind people. Leds will have a different pattern than halogen and need to be corrected.

Not really particular on a brand in particular, just an AT tire. Moderately aggressive. Most of its life is on pavement, but we get snow and the occasional camping trip that takes us off the beaten path. I guess I’m more wondering if the 275’s would look too small after the lift. Some pictures I see they look great. Sometimes they look tiny.

I had LED’s in my old 4runner w/ projector lenses and would get flashed occasionally. I’ll check out your route. Interestingly, when I go on Amazon and check out the H9 bulbs from Sylvania it says “FACT: LED replacement headlights are illegal”

I he mine in the old rig adjusted. And I was also told there are specific LED replacements depending on standard vs projector housings.

Yeah, it narrower. Maybe it’s angles or maybe I haven’t slept enough and I’m over thinking. It’s the last thing to purchase and the most expensive. I over analyze when it comes to spending

It is more the color temp that bothers my eyes, though I agree most are install and go and screw the people driving in the opposite direction.

My 4th gen I had leveled and 35x12.5 on oem wheels and no spacers and did not rub or have issues.

I work midnights and it was slow. I was searching around and ended up buying a set of 275/65 20 **** cepek trail country’s for $250 a piece. According to the specs they measure about 34.6x10.8. They’ll probably get delivered before the lift parts. I would have gone back and forth forever. The price helped me pull the trigger

I see this all the time on my commute. It's unfortunate that there are people who do that. I mean, that's the first thing I want to do...blind oncoming traffic.

I hate writing tickets..haha. Side note, I bought the tires from a place called BB Wheels. Placed the order Thursday at 0300. Not only were they the cheapest by a LONG SHOT, but free shipping and the tires will be here today. (Friday). A little over 24 hours later. Can’t beat that!

Tires showed the next day. Can’t beat that. Now my tiny cottage living room is over run with parts. Thank god the fiancé won’t be back until May. Haha. I think the 275/65 was the right choice.

Those are 275/65/20's? Your new tire looks more than 2 inches bigger. You sure they aren't 22's?

They might be 20's, his stock 20 tires are only 31.5" or so not the 33" of the 4th gens.
So that's about 3" total.
Though I also think that the center hole appears awefully big lol. Maybe just an optical illusion.

According to the tire size calculator I use, his stock size 275/55/20 tires would be 31.9". If his D!ck Cepec tires are 275/65/20 they're in the ballpark of 34.1" according to the trusty tire size calc. That's a difference of 2.2". The pics make the difference look more like the more than 4" difference he would have if they are 275/65/22 at 36.1". It could just be the pictures make the new tire look bigger than it really is because it's closer to the camera. Hopefully that's the case. Here's a link to the calculator I mentioned.

Def an optical illusion. From a 275/55 to a 275/65. Old ones measure 31.9” and the new ones spec out to 34.7”. They look huge in comparison to the stockers on there that look like they belong on a Honda. The weight difference too, 38lbs vs 60. Not sure they’ll fit without the lift so they’re just sitting behind the couch.

Your calculator is more accurate the mfg specs. I know the tape measure method isn’t super accurate either but they measure out to about 34.25”
