Hi Guys

I recently went from a 16 1500 5.7 to a 16 2500 6.4 Sport and love the truck for the most part.
It will need new tires and after searching I have a question about how to make it ride a little better. I realize it is a truck compared to the 1500 but it seems it could ride better. I know the Firerocks aren’t talked highly anywhere I can find so what tire gives the best overall ride quality? I’m thinking the Michy AT. Size is 285 60 20. Is there a better size to gain a better ride? 295’s fit? Or maybe 275 65???

Thanks for your time and input.

285/75r18 clear easily on mine... any hope to soften the ride will hurt you hauling capabilities... look at what weight you’re moving and find an appropriate load range, a D may be more than enough for you so the softer side wall and lower tire pressure will help...I can’t do that, I went up in size to get a heavier duty tire as mine is routinely moving a lot of weight

I went up to 295-60-20. They clear fine and the ride is good,

My point is you can easily clear 35s on a stock configuration...and you can definitely go to a much lighter duty tire.... the Firestone’s are absolute junk, worst tire I have ever had on a truck

Well, I posted about Michelin’s so that should be an indicator if there is a cost benefit ratio for tires

goodyear wrangler silent armor should do the truck for ya.

295/70R18 fit good on mine. No issues at all. I have 4.10’s and more side wall is always better than less. Cooper Stt MAXX

If your ridding empty, you can lower your rear tire pressure to around 50 psi. That's what I rode on my 04 3500.
I completely agree but if you have a 2500 you're going to get the TPMS warnings. IF you can't live with the warnings, my OCD wouldn't allow that, shoot me a PM for details on how to change the TPMS settings. I've helped many across the U.S.

Easiest way is to click my username on the left and then select 'Start a Conversation'. I just sent you a message.

Bringing this back to the top with the question posed a different way.
Compared to your FireRock Transforce ATs how did you truck ride after installing (insert brand and size here) tires?
Thanks
