I'm looking for ideas to put together a toolkit that fits in the RamBin of my '22 1500. I carry straps, bungies, etc., in one RamBin and need to put an emergency (mine or otherwise) toolkit in the other. Just want to cover the basic metric wrenches, sockets, screwdriver(s), allen/hex, etc. No SAE. I suspect I'll need to go with a soft side case or rollup style and add the tools I need but I wanted to see what others have done. Thanks in advance!

I am surprised that Ram did not make those Bins a bit larger

Some After Market company is making bigger bins

apparently there is some room for larger bins

On the 2500 Megacab there's a bigger one behind the rear seat on the driver's side.

Along with the aforementioned cordless impact gun,a 8mm or 5/16 / 10mm / 13mm / 15mm and 18mm in both sockets and wrenches, a couple of the common sized Torx screwdrivers / a flat blade screwdriver and a cheap code reader will cover pretty well everything you can fix on the side of the road

Car companies want to lower the total weight of the vehicle

so they are not including a Spare Tire, Jack & Tire Wrench

Instead they are replacing them with
Plug Kit & Mini compressor

My bin has basic screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, snips, adjustable wrench, duct tape, electrical tape, wire stripper/crimper, heavy wire, and a hack saw (folded and apart). Socket case and multimeter is under back seat. In my years if I couldn't fix what the problem was with that I needed a tow. The other bin is some Bungie cords and a tarp plus the 2 inch sleeve and stuff that came in there when truck was new.

I think I’d be more apt to use the bins if those thick rubber mats didn’t cover it.

I think I’ll see if my old motorcycle tool roll will fit.
