The console touchscreen stopped working in my 2019 RAM 1500. Is there a reset I can perform? Diagnostic?

Disconnect battery for a few minutes then reconnect. Don't be alarmed if things are missing from radio when it reboots after you reconnect the battery. It's common for things like sirius, heated seat controls and cameras not show up right away. They usually show up 1-2 hours later.

Hi Scott,

Sorry to hear about the concerns you were having with your touchscreen. For future reference, in order to complete a soft reset of your Uconnect system, please perform the following steps-

1) Put your vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)
For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having your foot on the gas or brake pedal

2) Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons (or tuner and volume knob), at the same time, for thirty seconds.
3) Let go of the buttons
4) Turn the vehicle off
5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds (or until dash illumination goes black)
6) Close door

Feel free to send our team a private message if you'd ever like additional assistance.

Thanks,

Courtney

I have the same issue with my 2020 Ram, have already tried disconnecting the battery (no luck) and the soft reset listed her (no luck).
Dealership was no help.

Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue? I've tried a soft and a hard reset and still can't get my touchscreen to work. It's so frustrating that nobody at RAM or the dealership knows the solution other than buying a new unit, which means I'm likely to have the same issue at some point.

Mine does that every once in a while. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds and it should reset the system. That always fixes it for me.

The button inside the volume knob. Press and hold for about 10 seconds and the stereo turns off and restarts.

I have a 2015 Ram Laramie - the other day the screen would not turn on - it was dark- looked here first for an answer - then I checked YouTube- one of the video's said there was a fuse for the radio and screen inside the engine compartment below the battery. Looked couldn't find it- tried the next day and found the plug in fuse holder - it was a 20 amp fuse - and yes its was blown. after climbing into the engine compartment - plugged in a new 20 mo fuse- Of course it immediately blew as did 3 more - so there is a short somewhere in the radio/screen So If you Ram screen is dark - check for that fuse holder under and to the left of the battery - very hard to reach- but changing the fuse should fix the problem - unless of course you have a short in the system (just my luck). It also helps if you are 21-50 instead of 76 - Now I need to find someone who can fix the electrical problem - so I am quite Sure that the Dealer will not be any help. I don't know if a 25 Amp fuse would cure the problem or not ???

I have found that if you push down on the center of the volume knob and the browse knob at same time and hold for more than 10-15 seconds, the screen will flash Ram and then go black. After a minute or so it will start to come back up just like when you first turn on the truck and then most times everything works. Unfortunate appears to be a hard reset so saved things like connected devices, radio stations, auto set controls all have to be reinput. But so far it has worked each time I have had to do this(4-5 times in 10 years or so)
