Tow/haul mode

Hi all, my truck 2015 1500 Sport 4x4 5.7L came with the hitch tow package. Do I need to buy a electronic tow controller if I'm towing an electric brake trailer? Please advise, what is the purpose of this button? Thanks

If your truck came with the brake controller it would be just to the left of the buttons on that panel. All tow/haul does is hold the shift points longer, has nothing to do with electric trailer brakes
