I just want to make sure i have the right codes. I appreciate any help.

I recently purchased and installed aftermarket tow mirrors. My original mirrors only had power control and heating these mirrors have the same option with the addition of puddle lights and the turn signal indicators on them and also had the necessary wiring connector for a direct plugin for the door control modules. I would like to have the signals and puddle lights activates. When I took m truck to the dealership I was told that the senior mechanic said that it could not be done simply through programming the ECM. I would need to get a new module as well as possibly splice or change the wiring harness. Does this sound correct? If not does anyone have the step by step answer for me to be able to take back to the dealership to get this fixed? Going to a different dealership to have this work done is not an option seeing that it is the last one before the Arctic Circle. Thanks in advance.

LEB is the code for the turn signals
LEC is the code for the puddle lamps
LEG is the code to make the directional buttons work in the correct orientation when the mirrors are flipped up 90 degrees (some aftermarket mirrors might not need this). If you have plug n play mirrors such as the trail ridge, you don’t need any other wiring.
Might I suggest checking into doing it yourself- https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/

Jimmy07,

Thanks for your response I will probably just buy OBD and app to just do it myself. Then when I get them working go back tot he dealership and take the master technicians job. I also found a youtube video that a guy posted reprograming his truck to get the mirrors to function as well. Here is the link for anyone else looking to do the same. , When I get this done I will add an update.

So I order the OBDII device and downloaded the recommended app to my phone today. Plugged it followed the steps from the video from my above post and the lights are working just like I wanted them to. So much for the "Master Tech" at Genes Chystler, Dodge and Jeep in Fairbanks who said it could not be done. Thanks again for the advice Jimmy07. Also, the app cost $45.00 and the OBD II device cost me $20 with shipping through Amazon. Had the dealership been able to figure this out it would have cost me $140 at a minimum.

I know to get the power fold feature to work, you would need to get new door modules and master window switch. And the dealer can not flash that feature to the Tradesman or Express because that feature was never offered in those trucks. You can activate it yourself with the AlphaOBD app.
