Max payload = 2972.48

Max towing = 15772.48

Mine came from Canada but I went through the process of transferring the warranty so the Dealer Connect site has no mention of being Canadian or anything so it may have reverted to U.S. numbers.

OK, that's where it was....damn I'm slow..

Just shy of 14k lbs., for towing, not bad....I'm sure if it had a Cummins it would be much higher, but it is what it is.

I looked mine up too, 3031 pound payload, and 17,034 tow capacity. I was very pleased!

I was thinking about going to a 5th wheel, but most of them I like would leave me a very little wiggle room to be able to pack up....(1200-1600lbs.).

The floor plans I like are in the 11k lbs. weight range dry from what I can see.

I was hoping for a little bit more towing ability, 15k-16k lbs would be nice.

the simplest way is this.

GVWR minus payload equals base weight

Base weight plus 470 pounds is the allowance...passenger options hitch.

GCWR MINUS allowance weight equals trailer
max.

But remember. It is only at a 10% tongue weight.

So in your case...your GVWR is 14000 and you stated 6292 payload.

GCWR is 21500 with 3.73 and 25000 with 4.10

So 14000 minus 6292 is 7708 base weight.

Add the 470 and 8178 is your allowance weight.

If you have 4.10...25000 minus 8178 gives you a trailer max of 16822.

You then have to subtract all the other stuff you put in or on the truck.
I am only concerned about the capacity of the class V receiver and whether that capacity is based on a "weight bearing hitch" or a "load leveling hitch."

Possibly I wasn't clear with my original post. I am only concerned about the capacity of the class V receiver and whether that capacity is based on a "weight bearing hitch" or a "load leveling hitch."

I went to the site that was suggested and the only information I got was MAX PAYLOAD and MAX TOWING. What I am looking for is the SPECIFIC capacity of the class V receiver and whether that capacity is based on a "weight bearing hitch" or a "load leveling hitch."

For the 4thGen trucks...2013 to 2018...maximum tongue weight is 1800lbs. This is with or without WDH.

Mine said the same. Mine is an SLT with the Off-Road Outdoorsman package. When I punched in my VIN it says Big Horn. But mine has the full console with touch screen nav, power sliding rear window with defrost, etc. So more of a Big Horn package
