My TPMS system tells me there is a problem with the system on the passenger rear wheel, it gives no readings and puts on warning light. Have replaced the sensor in the wheel and the sensor on the truck by the wheel. The warning light still comes on.

Now the fun part, every time it happens the light goes out before i can get it to the dealer. The dealer sees the codes but cannot figure out which part is the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Try switching tires first until problem returns, recommend clearing code with tool and disconnecting battery to be sure code ghost isn't still in there. If still on the passenger rear wheel it is not the tire sensor. Then switch the truck sensors with resets before and if problem resurfaces on passenger side still it is not the sensors. Then it is possibly the wiring to computer or something in the control unit itself.

Shuffling the wheels and sensors is a great idea but I'm a bit lazy.

I'd first inspect all associated wiring & connectors in hopes of finding an obvious impairment before creating work for myself.

The following site may assist you in identifying the associated wiring and connectors.

Having a similar issue. Had new tires installed. Within 2 days the TPMS system "needs service". Right rear sensor is offline.
Take the truck back to the tire place and they relearn all of the modules. 1/2 mile from home the right rear goes off line again.
Take it back to the tire place. this time they replace the module. All is good...until 1/2 mile from home. Right rear goes offline. Move front to back on passenger side and go for a drive. Does not reset( why would it?) Check out youtube and find a couple of trip odometer reset button reset hacks. tried...not sure if it worked. Go for a drive and eventually the system resets itself but the right rear pressure is not changing with the rest of the tires and then goes offline. Probably not the wheel mounted sensor at this point. Still a little more troubleshooting to do. Cannot find anything of real substance on this system on the interwebs and my Haynes manual says NADA about it at all.
Does anyone have any information or experience with this mess?

The receiver is on the driver's side of the vehicle in front of the drivers tire. It could be weak and cannot see the right rear transmitter.

My suggestion is to see if you can unbolt the receiver and give it a bit more line of sight to the right rear tire.

There is 1 thread on here where the op moved the receiver to behind the driver's front tire by extension of the wires and solve the line of site problem.
