I just picked up a set of take off wheels but they didn't come with the TPMS sensors. My questions are, is it possible to have 2 sets of wheels with sensors to swap out for seasonal purposes without having to have them reprogrammed everytime I swap them out? Also do the new sensors have to actually be programmed or will they be learned automatically? Thanks

Shouldn't be an issue. When I had my Challenger I put new wheels and tires on it. Put the new sensors on the new wheels while leaving the factory ones on the factory wheels. Didn't miss a beat. Worked perfectly. Sold the factory wheels to my boss at the time. He put them on his 300. Sensors worked perfectly. Never programmed anything. Takes a little bit for them to work, but they do change over

4th Gen RAMs will automatically learn the new sensors after a few miles of driving. Just make sure you have the right ones, they changed the frequency between 2013 & 2014.

I have two sets of tires and rims, summer and winter.
When I swap them it takes about a mile and a half and the mounted ones are recognized and used,
this is on a 2015 1500.

Yeah that's exactly what I want to do. I wasn't sure if I could on my 11 Ram.

Yeah I have an 11. Do you by chance know how I could tell what frequency I need? I was looking a a set of 4 sensor's on Ebay for like $40. that say the are "factory" sensors but it doesn't say anywhere that they are Ram sensors

I can't tell you about a 2011,
if you rotate tires do they automatically relocate,
do you have individual tire pressure readings.

I'm not sure about the frequency, but according to allmoparparts.com the part number for a 2011 TPMS sensor is 68406537AA. The part # for my 2014 is 68249197AA.

Edit: A little poking around, it looks like 2011 would be 433mHz, where newer ones are 434mHz

I had my factory wheels painted. While that was being done I put some wheels from an 06 Ram so I could still drive it. They had no sensors in them at all. Took the truck a solid week to realize that :D

Just another note, factory sensors for your truck run over $60 each at the discount place, it's doubtful the 4 for $40 are really OEM parts.
