Winter is coming, therefor I would like to go out sliding around in my 14 RAM. My question is how do I disable my traction control completely!?

Im not to happy about removing the ABS fuse, I was wondering if there was a programming stroke I can do?

If you have a tuner you can disable it that way. Although you will have to remember to turn it off every time you start the truck

Apparently there is someone on this forum who has the CMR software and they have figured out how to turn it off permanently. Thats what they claim at least.

First time I have heard of it and there are a couple who are confirming it.

With the tuner alone, you would have to turn it off every time you start the vehicle.

You cannot permanently remove traction control without disabling it each time you get in the truck with a tuner. The easiest way is to pull the ABS fuse, but then you lose your speedometer, and your ABS, BRAKE, and Traction Control lights will be lit up on your dash.

If you have 4wd press and hold traction control button for 10 seconds (in 4wd and it'll shut it down. Turns traction control and esp off.

Pressing the traction control off has the same effect as doing it in the programmer on my truck. It will spin until you catch traction or let out...

If you start sliding esp tends to kick in. Atleast it does in my truck although I have 3.55 6 speed she don't spin much unless it's raining.

That don't work for a 2012........it does kill like 60% of it, but once the tires are spinning and the rpm hits ~ 3300, the engine drops spark to limit rpm

ABS fuse only lights the traction control, and ABS lights in mine, but it kills the traction control/ESP for sure!!

Lovin it!

ABS and traction control. Who needs this ****?

I've been stuck twice because the stupid traction control kicked in. The 5.7 hemi was gutless after that even with hypertech interceptor package. Someone please figure out how to completely disable this feature made for women

I think what you want to turn off is the stability control.

If you don't have some form of "limited slip/Posi-Trac, get it.

I wish there was a way to turn off all the ads on this sight!

Yep. Hate the ads. I usually forget to hit the button to turn off till it's too late. Its goin to shop ASAP and I'm making rear end full time posi. Have a better launch anyways.

Get rid of Internet Explorer and use Google Chrome with adblock plus and the ads are gone... :naughty:

As for the traction control - find an empty parking lot and learn what triggers it and how it reacts, and learn from it.

I had already tried that before and it does not work on my 011. I did find the thread and it said to pull J6 and that worked. So I'm going to hook up a switch.
