Question!!! What is the # of the 6 spd trans?
I was looking to purchase a filter set to change it all and could not find a 6 speed for 2012 where I was looking
Will it be the same as the 6 speed for 2013??
The 2013 & 2014 6 speed auto xsmn is the 65RFE , not positive on the 2012 ?? Maybe the 545RFE ??? Probably the same filters though ??? Not positive..

The 65RFE replaced the 545RFE in 2012. Besides a programming change and upgraded torque converter, it is essentially identical to the 545RFE so it does take the same filters. I would highly recommend using Mopar filters as there really isn't a better filter for the RFE trans out there.

My dad had a 2011 4x4 CC 1500 with the 545RFE he pulled a 7,500 lb empty wt TT 3- 4 times a year a couple hundred miles round trip .. daily driver other than that....he had to replace his xsmn last year with a bit over 100k he had never changed the fluid or filters to my knowledge ... Earlier this year he purchased a new 2018 4X4 CC with the 8 speed and .392 Differentials he said I towing is like night and day and he's got the lifetime warranty ( retired ) he plans on having the dealer do all scheduled maintenance this time .

I think I'm going to install a weld in drain plug from Currie interprises.
Won't have to worry about it leaking and won't have to worry about holding a backup on it so you don't loosen the whole thing up. Plus it would only cost me about $17. I can't see spending $300 on the MH when all I need is a $17 drain capability.

I could then take the factory magnet out of the pan and install a 3/8 NPT magnetic drain plug in the Currie ****.

If you get a chance, post some pics of the finished product. I'd love to see how that comes out
