Curious if anyone else’s truck does this. If I slow down to say 10 mph to make a turn, when I get back on the gas, it feels as though the tranny is slipping a little for like 2-3 seconds (rpm goes up a little) then rpm drops and you feel as if it’s no longer slipping and goes on normal. If I’m at a red light/complete stop, it won’t slip at all when shifting other than the slight flare 1-2 which I think is pretty normal for the 8hp70. It only does this slipping, or whatever it is, when slowing down and then speeding back up. Is it trying to decide what gear to be in maybe? I’ve watched my speedometer and it’s gaining speed the whole time it’s doing it, so I question if it’s a true slip or not. 181k on it and I changed the fluid and filter at 172k with Maxlife.

My 2017, lately @ ~ 54,000+ miles, occasionally will do this.

Currently on the original fluid and filter. I plan on getting off of my dead tail and do the PPE pan and filter replacement with MOPAR 8/9 Speed transmission fluid ... I have everything needed and ready ... for when ...

Bought mine with 158k and no idea if it was changed previously. No record of the dealer doing it or any other shop doing it. I debated leaving it alone or changing, but decided to change. Went cheap and went back with just the regular pan and Maxlife multi vehicle fluid. No leaks and it shifts and behaves about like it did before the change. Runs same temp as before 185-190.

If it started doing this after the service on the transmission,i wonder if you might be down on fluid a bit.The 8 speed seems to be very sensitive to fluid level. What was your procedure for refilling it
