Hi, my 95 Ram 1500 4wd 318 ( 5.2l ) has the automatic transmission, and it's not shifting properly from 2nd to 3rd.
Its basically a 727 with the OverDrive added on, giving me 3 speeds and OD, but, when towing only 3 speeds.
I wonder if there is an upgrade path, to replace that trans with one that 1) is super reliable, 2) has more gears to it?
The motor is stock, is near 200,00 km ( 160,000 miles ).
It's a daily driver, not after performance, just gas mileage. If I tow, seeing as I have a 2018 Cummins, I won't be towing much weight or very far with the 318 ( 5.2l ) engine.
Thoughts?
