When our contractor built our home he neglected to nail a tree branch to the eves of the house to appease the tree spirits. In retaliation, they tried to take out the RAM and XTerra. But they fell short, literally speaking.

Those Exterras are awesome, frame mount body, cool looking. Don't ever get rid of it. Friend had his totalled by some inattentive driver a couple years back, still misses it.

You need to buy a lottery ticket, keep the luck going.
More pragmatic than that, I hired a professional tree-cutter. I had him walk the property and identify any trees which in his judgement had some near future probability of coming down and hitting the house, shed or the vehicles. Then cut these trees down. He didn't have to remove any of the trees from the property because I cut them up for firewood.

Foresters pray to the Tree Gods.
They provide us with building materials, beauty, warmth and food.
Use them wisely and always show your gratitude.

I just figured out why our contractor didn't nail a tree branch to the eves of our new house. The eves were vinyl siding.

I'll talk about this in the near future. I have a lot to say about it, all good.
My wife has a 2013 XTerra. I knew something was up when about three years after the XTerra was discontinued I began receiving unsolicited letters from the local Nissan dealership offering us to trade her XTerra in sight unseen for another vehicle. It's called demand. When we rented a condo in Vermont where I worked we both had XTerra's. I didn't need a truck at that time. I had a 2009 standard and my wife had a 2013 automatic (still has). I loved the six speed on the floor. It was so synchronized you could shift with three fingers. It took a gorilla to put it in reverse. But there was a reason for that. Reverse gear was located right next to sixth gear. They didn't want you going down the highway trying to shift into six gear and hitting reverse by accident. When I bought the XTerra you could shave $1,ooo off the purchase price if you got a standard instead of an automatic. Then years later it cost you an additional $1,000 if you choose the standard over the automatic. Finally, the standard was discontinued. When we retired to the sticks we didn't need two XTerra's. I needed a truck. I had intended to get a regular cab Frontier. I believe the regular cab Frontier was built on the same frame as the XTerra and the interior was the same. It was the perfect size truck for me. But not in my wildest dreams did I ever think the regular cab would be discontinued. I didn't want an extended cab or a crew cab. If didn't want a truck with a back seat. If I did, I would have got one long ago. The crew cab first came out in 1957 so you had since 1957 to get a truck with a back seat if you wanted one. If I seriously wanted a truck as a passenger vehicle I wouldn't even look at a quad cab. I've seen what kind of leg room you have for the back seat. But we don't use the truck as a passenger vehicle. We use the Xterra. I may be wrong, but I think the only regular cab truck with a six foot bed available at that time was the RAM. That's the only reason I got the RAM. But the RAM does the job for us out here in the sticks. My wife loves it for the leg room. She's one of them long legged women. Five foot eight with a thirty five inch inseam. But if they come out with a regular cab Frontier again I wouldn't get it. At my age, not worth trading for another vehicle.

About the only reg cab trucks you see in this country are city or services trucks, usually with a 8’ box
Mainly Rams .
Can you even buy one yet?
I like the club cab as the kids are all gone, and the dog did not need much leg room.
it was 60 miles to the city , and lots of room for stuff . She used the car.

Ford, Chevy and GMC 2025 regular cabs. I like the regular cab because the kids are all gone. Just me and my lady in the truck equivalent of a sports car. Two seats only unless you want to stretch it to a half seat more. Two's company. Three's a crowd. If transportation for a crowd is needed, we switch to the wife's XTerra.

Many of my wife's brothers, cousins and uncles were loggers at one time or another.

I have made a living logging plenty of times and running tree planting crews. Staying employed as a forester was not always easy. As a retired person there is nothing I would rather do than walk in a forest and look at trees. I take people on "tree walks" and show them things they might not have noticed. Forest bathing? I have been doing it since I was 9 years old.
