When i am on a job & running low on Diesel
I transfer fuel using a

Self-Priming Shaker Style Siphon Pump

View attachment 509952

It is fairly stiff plastic hose
I have used one of these since 2004 & i think only once, it was caught for a bit.

A Harbor Freight look a like hose is too soft & flexes too much
Those hoses work great to transfer gas

I discovered them just after a bought my 2009 Ram 5.7L, in 2009
It had a 32 gallon tank & still only was able to drive about 370 miles on a tank.
So i had an auxiliary tank & three 5 gallon gas jugs

I have handed those hoses out as presents, boat owners like them too
