With my bakflip installed and college football tailgating right around the corner I'm thinking about options. I'd like to buy something that's not too big but would be a good waterproof storage for tailgating supplies like power cords, cups, plates, etc. It would also be able to hold my normal things like jumper cables, gloves, emergency kit, etc.

Any ideas?

Something like the Bakbox is probably just too big for my needs.

Yep, what he said^^^^^^^^^. I have two that my wife bought from Auto Anything for less than 400 for both (they are a little expensive). I sprayed them with prep spray and then shot them with Duplicolor bed liner to match my toolbox and bed liner. They are awesome. I also cable tied (zip tied) the latch where they lock to keep them from vibrating (I go down some pretty bad roads every day)

This is my poverty sled. I just recently found a camper shell used, had it painted to match. I have mounted fishing rods on the driver's side as well as ran power wires and 12v outlets and battery dial. Locking bed boxes on both sides. On the passenger side I've mounted my and shovel with quick fist. As well as a switch for all of the bed lights. The outlet powers an inverter that i store in the box. I also keep a stove, grill, skillet, tools and recovery gear.a8d58b7f52c53b2f8ab025e916b7c59f.jpge6866bfcc0e53019a106b59db86cd35e.jpg

About $80 for both. One for everyday carry stuff, straps, d-rings, shovel, axe, blankets etc. Plus don't have to worry about carrying something breaking something else. Easily reconfigurable for hauling different sized items and completely removable in less than 5 min.

If I had them side mounted boxes, I would not have been able to transport the new TV because it needs to be supported on all edges otherwise the display would twist and mostly likely break. This is why I stay away from permanent mounted things.

One has the trailer hitch and is otherwise empty to put the shopping bags in. Because with these munchers, it is not a good idea to leave them alone with food.
