This truck is a newer 2500 with rear coil spring suspension. No such thing as adding a leaf anymore on these trucks. You have to swap out the entire coil for a new one or go air bags. I did bags with split fill lines. I'm feeling pretty confident this will solve the problem. Can't wait to load up and try it out!

I unfortunately haven't had the chance to test drive it yet. I do plan on loading up and going for a ride next Saturday. I'll report back.

Just made it back from our shake down cruise and I'm happy to report the truck is handling wonderfully now!

I measured 44" to the rear wheel fender flare before loading and after loaded with the camper dry it was sitting at about 42". Then I aired the bags up until the truck was sitting at 43.5" and that took 60 psi to achieve.

It rode great and there was absolutely no sway or roll to it at all. I feel very confident driving this now and am looking forward to loading it all up for our first camping trip. What a spectacular difference from when I took that first ride. 172e61348029df58eb77b5760b5f1207.jpg

When do we get a pic of that bad boy all set up. How high does it pop up?

It's surprising how high it goes up. Feels very spacious inside for being a truck camper. We're hoping to go on our first trip in 2 weeks.

Here's a quick shot of it popped up while I was installing the electric jacks. I don't have any pics of the inside yet. Still need to clean it up inside and out. Been so darn busy with everything else!006de17fa93e10dfd504499450e8551c.jpg

That's awesome! I figured the TGs would work out good for you.

I have a 2016 2500 Mega 6.4L with Thuren front 2" lift springs, track bar and Fox shocks at all 4 corners. I left the rear springs stock. Riding on Toyo AT2 295/65R20 65psi front, 75psi rear.

Just drove 150 miles to pick up my new (used) truck camper and was scared to death driving home. As soon as I pulled onto the highway I hit an off camber dip and thought the truck was going to flip over. I couldn't go over 50mph. It was terrifying. The body roll (side to side) just kept compounding until I slowed down to about 30mph and let it dampen out.

The truck camper is a 2016 Palomino SS 1251 that weighs around 1900lbs. It was completely empty since I just bought it.

I assume it has to be the Thuren springs up front and/or the Fox shocks all around since that's the only changes I've made. My first move will be to begrudgingly remove the awesome Thuren springs and Fox shocks and put the stock ones back on. I'm so disappointed. Does anyone have any experience or advice?View attachment 165168

I have a 2017 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi. Just picked up a new Palomino HS750. Weight about 1900 lbs empty. My truck is a crew cab with standard suspension. I installed a set of Timbrens and left the dealer with a weight of about 2200 lbs. Drove like a dream. No roll or body sway at speeds up to 75 MPH. I drove mostly about 65 MPH. Very stable. No complaints at all about ride, stability or handling. The Timbrens were about $400 dollars installed. Gas mileage took a pretty good hit but was expecting that.

Simply the wrong truck for a bed camper. Always go for a one ton and I suggest a dually due to so much sway for bed campers. And no lift kits and big tires

Went camping this past weekend down at Ohiopyle and had an awesome time. The truck hauls this thing great now. I played with the air bag pressure and like it at between 60 - 65 psi. Very confident driving now in the steep and twisty mountain roads near the park. This rig gets a lot of attention at the campground and in parking lots. Tons of people stopping to ask about it and look at it. You don't see many of these where we live. Here's a pic when we first set up camp. Only stayed 1 night so I left it on the truck. 5fbf6ceaf1a8069605cae9561bd716f4.jpg
