Hoping someone can help me figure out what is going on, I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7l hemi. Truck was started 3 weeks ago, and then two days ago when tried to start the truck after getting back to the states the truck is not getting any power, the key fob doesn't even work, when hooking the truck up with jumper cables the truck has power but will not even crank when trying to start. Just makes a single click sound of the solenoid opening, and then a slight whine noise in the engine bay but that is all, no crank or anything. Feel like it is a quick fix just haven't been able to pinpoint what is wrong with it. If it was battery then the jumper cables would still be able to crank it up. If it was a bad starter then the battery would work all the time but wouldn't allow it to crank. Any help is appreciated.

Check for loose connections at the battery to starter and battery to ground.

Let the battery charge up with a charger overnight, or get better quality jumper cables. They aren't carrying enough current to start the truck. Something drew down the battery and it's dead.

so far have checked all connections at the battery and at the starter, all connections were good to go. Thought about the battery just being completely drained but even if it wasn't getting enough power with jumper cables wouldn't it still attempt to crank not just click the solenoid open and then shut off?

It could be a bad battery, even with trying to jump it will just click. Put a charger on it and once fully charged check the static battery voltage, if it's around 12V chances are the battery is bad.

Going to try charging it over night tonight and getting the readings tomorrow, will let you know if it was the battery

Check the voltage after you pull the charger off and then again after leaving it sit overnight.
