Truck Jack ?

I bought a 2005 Ram 2500 4x4 mega cab 3 weeks ago . just found out someone (maybe) at the dealer took the whole jack assembly . Everything ! So i called the Dodge Dealer and they said I'd have to buy a new set . They sell them in pieces and when all added up came to $450 . REALLY ??????? Thats insane . So my question is what years will fit my truck ? meaning be able to fit under the seat and mount to the floor the right way ? and fit the part that lowers the spare tire . I found some on E-Bay but there are many years. Thanks folks

$450 is insane. They sell for less than $50 on ebay.

I'd try an auto wrecker first. As stated above all 3rd gen hd truck should fit fine. I think there's 4 options for the spare tire key so that may be your biggest problem, buy if you snap a pic of it the dealer can match it since they're all distictively different, but come with the lock so you get stuck buying both pieces.if you look down the tube and it's just a square your in luck as that means no key, just the square end of the standard jack crank shaft fits on it.

Check your owners manual, I know the 1500's have it under the passenger seat but a HD jack is very different and is probably in a different location.

On my 3rd gen 3500 it was under the passenger seat same as the 1500s

I carry a floor jack under the rear seats and a long 1/2" extension that I use with a vice grips to lower the spare
