Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations on cash friendly lifts. Can't break the bank looking for something affordable but also something that isn't gonna give me a bunch of problems.

Go zone. I went through a bunch of different lift types and tried a bunch of things. It all depends how much lift you want to go. The guys here have heard my stuff a million times but feel free to PM me if you want. Also @JB1 has more knowledge then you could imagine I swear he is half computer and has been my go to

Tuff country is a good company, I ran their kits on all my old K5’s and squarebody chevys, their leaf springs ate the best. However this kit just isn’t one of their best imo and you can look at the installation instructions to see.

Readylift makes a 4” kit similar to this one but you are pushing the limits at 4” with no transfercase drop brackets etc. so that’s a risk you take going over 3” without a conventional drop bracket style lift

https://www.ramforum.com/threads/4-readylift-sst-kit-opinions.141327/

Do you need a 4” kit?
What size tire and wheel do you plan on?
Is $1000 or less your lift budget?
Are you installing the kit?

I honestly am not sure what I want to do yet trying to gather as much information as possible and make a good decision. But I wont lie I am new to this and very uninformed. So wheels and tires I guess it depends on what I end up doing. I first started thinking I would just do a level kit but then i stumbled across the tuff country and it seemed very reasonable in price for a lift kit. And that's what got the ball rolling for me to check into lift kits. I guess right now i would say my lift budget probably is 1k or under or just a little over. And I would not be installing the kit myself.

we can find your a spacer kit for 250 bucks that might look good, but wouldn't be great your the rest of your suspension components.

but seriously, also consider what you are using your vehicle for. 1000 bucks will get you some options, but does that include install or is that above the 1000? are you going to offroad or drive a pavement queen?

The install would be separate so I'm not counting that in the 1k.

My suggestion is do it once and do it right (coming from someone who did it 3 times) lol. If you hold out and save just a little more zone and bds are great on these trucks jb runs bds which is the higher end of the product. I use zone which is the economical version of bds. For the most part bds and zone have the same parts bds just has a few extras and different coatings if you are comparing apples to apples on their base kit. We both along with a few others here are running their 6 inch lift without the front preload spacer and the 3 inch rear coil option. This provides 5 inches of front lift 3 inches rear leaving about .75 inch or rake. Depending on offset of the wheels it will give you enough room to run 35s or bigger. You will also be able to add to this kit later should you decide to swap to 5 inch coils and adjustable struts to get you in the area of 7 to 8 inches of lift and 37s.

Also because it's me lol I have the 3 inch rear section for sale in the classifieds section :emotions33:

@Tiffbear768 your best bet is a Zone 6” lift you can leave out the preload spacer in the front and order the 3” rear coils. This will be the most versatile lift for a reasonable price. Other companies use different components and spacers in the rear which leaves you scrambling when you decide your changing your configuration (which you will)
My recommendation is do as much reading as you possibly can and learn how each company achieves their height. Then when we give you advice it makes more sense to you. It’s a lot but we have all been where you are now.

Let us know if we can help, we offer many brands. We do recommend a Zone kit. Best bang for your buck and high quality. Message me to go over info and pricing. We can work on finding a setup that will fit your needs and budget.

As mentioned, you should think about how you plan to use the truck. Also you want to take into account what the future plans are. This way you dont limit yourself and you can buy it once. Seen too many customers buy lesser expensive lifts/spacer kits only to not be happy and go with a better lift kit.

I agree with all others, @JB1 is very knowledgeable and we are happy to have him as a part of this forum.
