I would like to invest in a tuner but the thought of destroying my transmission concerns me. I have a S&B and a catch can but that'll probably be the end of my performance mods until the warranty expires. I've got 3:55 gears and currently running 34" tires but I'd like to go to 35's when money allows. I generally baby my vehicles but the rumble under the hood and increased pressure on my back is hard to leave alone from time to time. :)

I've read about the "weak" transmissions in Rams since I bought my 2002 years ago. I'd love to squeeze more performance out of my truck but can't afford to blow a tranny, I've got two kids in college, lol.

Go with a Bully dog hemi gt plus tuner. safe and great canned tune, if you want to venture a little a diablosport with the Hemifever custom tune.

^^^ Agreed. As long as you don't drive to crazy the trans should last.

Like said, as long as you go with a reputable tuner, then you wont have to worry about anything. All of the canned tunes are safe, and I have yet to run across a 4th gen Hemi owner that had transmission problems with Hemifever's tuning. Just don't try to play Ricky Bobby every time you get in the truck, and you will be fine.
