Anybody have any idea which ones pair up nicely? I'm looking for an exhaust system that's not so loud but not so quiet either. And if anybody is aware of a tuner that can hold multiple tunes without having to have a laptop in the cab? But if not, a good tuner that will improve mpg's and performance. I'm really inexperienced as far as aftermarket performance parts, and the Ram in general, so any definitive help or advice will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Everybody around here likes superchips tuners. For exhaust if your searching for quiet with a nice rumble at idle and cruise but screams when you floor it then flowmaster 40's series is just the ticket for you. I ran those on my 94 and man did I love them.

Alright thanks I'll give it a shot..but before I do the Flowmasters do you know much about Thrush? I was looking at their classic welded muffler.

Also, did I mess up when I went with a Spectre intake? I feel like the fuel mileage has gone down, it sounds nicer but I've had to re-tighten basically all of the clamps..is this something I can fix by buying better accesories or should I take the hit and go with a different (and possibly better working) brand.

There's nothing wrong with a Spectre intake. I'm assuming there's a molded plastic piece that sits on top of the TB, the intake hose clamped onto that and then the filter at the end?

If you can, you might try some blue loctite on the clamps or replace them with regular screw type hose clamps

Thanks. I think what the problem is is that the actual connection pipe from the filter doesn't quite meet all the way up with the molded plastic piece so when the rubber boot is on there there's a small gap inside. I could be wrong and this could or could not be a problem. If you think I should still go with the loctite I'll give it a shot. Like I always post with my threads, I'm very new to taking an interest in mods and the way a truck works so any help means a lot.

I've used thrush before but I'm not really a fan of them. I do like Cherry Bomb though.

i installed a flowmast force 2 system on my truck its 3" single out the side like stock
sounds like a real truck should not like most of the fords and rams that sould like hopped up sports cars

my only complaint its hat after the y-pipe/cat the pipe drops down to 2.5" or so i would recoment getting a 3" flange and a section of pipe and do a bit of cuting so that our system is a full 3" the sound gets a litle bottelnecked under the truck and i think a full 3" would fix i prfectly
