I have been having an issue with my right rear brake light going out. I have replaced it multiple times but keeps going out... take the bulb out and it looks brand new but the light socket looks burnt.

Well this weekend I noticed that the whole turn/brake signal for that side is out. Thinking it was just a fuse, go look there and fuse is good.

Anyone have any idea on where to start with this issue?

Had the same problem with my old 03 and it was caused by moisture. Are the pins rusty?

Replace the burn socket and use some dielectric grease on it. Moisture sucks in our taillights for some reason.

I replaced the whole socket on mine and it fixed the issue completely. From what I recall the part was fairly inexpensive from my local dealership

Didn't really inspect it for rust when I had it apart.... figured I just needed a new socket.... Guess I'll have to get on ordering that.

Unfortunately moisture gets in there either way. The lights aren't gasketed to the truck as well as one would think.
