Just got a notice that certain 2024 RAM 1500 vehicles (MAY) have a defective turn signal that does not disengage after use. Mine works fine,I just got the ABS recall done a few weeks ago.I think I'm going to sit this one out almost seems like a ploy to get you back to the dealer to get hit up for other stuff like oil changes ( which I do myself every 3K miles). Anybody get this recall done ?

Mine is a '23 and had this problem, mostly on left turns. If you just do a regular 45 degree turn, the turn signal would not turn off. Right turns were fine. You would 100% know if it was a problem, quite annoying.

Took it to the dealer a few weeks ago for this and a USB hub problem. They replaced the clock spring which did fix the turn signal issue. They didn't fix the USB hub issue though because it only happens when it's close to 100 degrees outside and it's been cooling down. That will probably have to wait until next summer.

I had my 23 in for the ABS software and turn signal recalls this week. When I picked the truck up I asked if they found any problems with the turn signal module. The service guy reached into the truck, flicked the turn signal up , then down, then back to cancel position and said, that’s all there is to it. Yours is fine. Hard for me to figure out the expense of a recall to see if your turn signal switch is working. If not canceling the warranty should take care of it.

I got my turn signal Recall two days ago. I have been having the issue when I made left turns. In fact mentioned it to the wife last week when we were out and about in the Ram.

Contacted the dealer today. Hope to get both Recalls done next week.

Does this apply to 2024 Classic? I get a “turn signal” click when turning hard left (or when opening the driver door after turning off the truck) without the blinker being on.

Not sure if this applies to the classic. Though you would know if this is a problem. For me, the turn signal would not turn off by itself on 45 degree turns. So I'd keep driving until eventually you get a warning light that your turn signal is on. If your turn signal turns off like normal, then shouldn't be an issue.

Mine wouldn’t turn off every time. They test the signal when you take it in, if it works 4 times in a row, you’re good to go. Mine failed, it’s fixed.

Got 2 recalls done at my free 8K oil change and State inspection.

Rather than Chrysler, I need to blame the State for driving up the cost of ownership for these annual service visits!

The only time we need a inspection in Sk., Canada is if a used unit is brought in and has to be inspected before licenced and insurance. Commercial trucks have to be inspected on a regular basis.
I have never had a car or truck inspected, lots of heavy trucks ,but they where licenced as Farm trucks, which are not "commercial" unless you hire out or charge someone for hauling, ie friend stuff for a move, thou it happens all the time I presume, no insurance if you had a accident.
Same thing as if drunk and have a wreck
