many yrs ago in central Alberta we where visiting friends in RedDeer It was cold, think -30 at least
Fellow walked out to some Ford diesel 3/4T in a snow bank.
It was way out , not plugged in.
He sat for a couple bit while I thought WTH, no way.
I could hear the poor old starter, and then it fired up, complaining quite a bit.
Surprised the heck out of me.
Would have been around 1980
At -30 I never tried to start any of my diesels, thou the small one would if plugged in, but the hydraulics would not work when that cold, unless I heated the rear end.
