So I have the 12" Uconnect .... I initiate a Bluetooth connection to my phone and play an audio source. After getting to where I'm going, shutting off the truck, and then restarting when ready to leave, I get two audio sources playing at the same time. One is the Bluetooth connection from the phone. I tracked down the other as the last streaming audio channel from SiriusXM that I was listening to. If I select SiriusXM and then back to Bluetooth, the second audio program stops. Weird.

This new 12" Uconnect system is really wonky.

Hallelujah I’m not the only one with a ghost! My 2019 Laramie CD does this too, same 12” Uconnect and I just picked it up from the dealer and they can’t figure out what it is but they told me I’m not the only one having this problem. I thought I was going nuts until my daughter recorded it on video for me twice. The dealership attempted to do a few updates and also unhooked my battery overnight but it didn’t correct the problem. I can’t figure out where my alternative source is coming from but I believe it is a satellite station, at least it’s playing 80s rock which is pretty decent but doesn’t go well with my other preferred music of choice. I should mention that I haven’t been able to stop the dual audio source and this does this through Bluetooth and when I connect through USB to my iPhone . It’s totally unpredictable and random when it chooses to play this secondary audio source . Unfortunately the dealership told me they do not have a current fix for this, I hope they do soon because I really like listening to my 17 speaker Harman Kardon system that I paid a lot for...

Ive also had the same issue. I rebooted by Iphone and it hasn't happened since. Not sure what caused it. I use the carplay option now because for some reason, the audio sounds better than using the Bluetooth method..

I restart my iPhone every day. Makes no difference in my case.

Alex I don’t know if I’m doing this correct or not but I think I just sent you a direct message. If not feel free to contact me directly, that might be easier.

Not that this helps anyone.
But I have the 12" UConnect and the Alpine system. My cell phone is not sync'd in any way to the radio. However I keep a USB stick with music plugged in at all times. On several occasions when starting the truck the USB stick and Sirius Radio have come on simultaneously. Sometimes unplugging/re-plugging the USB stick clears the issue. Other times turning off the truck and waiting a few minutes before restarting will solve the issue.
I had a 2016 Chevy Colorado with Nav and the Bose system. Occasionally the USB Stick and radio wouldn't play nice together. The dealerships solution was to shut the truck off > open the drivers door wait 20 seconds > close the door and restart. It worked.

Having the same issue. When I play audio via Car Play, I can hear Sirius XM in the background. Took into dealer and they can’t fix. I’m running 13.1.2 software on my iPhone....

I mentioned this particular problem to my dealer when taking the truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. They suggested I bring back the truck and leave it with them so they can take a diagnostic dump of the Uconnect system and then re-flash it with latest software. What do you think @RamCares ? Is that worth my time?

Hi n-humble,
We would recommend addressing this with your dealer as they have trained technicians to help diagnose your concerns. If you decide to go this route and need further assistance, we are available through private message!

I have this same problem and I've noticed it off and on for awhile. Usually restarting my phone fixes the problem so naturally I kept assuming something wonky was wrong with my phone. But today it happened and as soon as my phone would restart and connect again it would happen again. But this time I noticed it sounded like one source was a high quality radio station, aka, a satellite radio station so I started looking for my satellite radio settings and after I was in the XM app for a moment, it stopped. I'm convinced it was playing XM content while playing content from my phone. It's annoying but I'm glad I finally figured it out!
