Hey folks...
I have an Alpine stereo in my 13 CC. Sounds good but the sub wolfer is killing me...I have tried to adjust via the audio adjustments, but still way too much bass. Does the sub have a seperate eq that I am missing? I like to hear the spectrum of the music not the thumping of the bass...

I picked up an escort 8500ci plus radar detector (put one in my wife's explorer)..anyone put one in their Ram if so do you have any pics?

Thanks...

I'm not sure about audio adjustments on the alpine system, but I'm sure you could find the plug for the stock sub (underneath it I think), and simply disconnect it. For someone such as yourself, the other speakers should provide plenty of bass without a subwoofer.

I've never heard someone complain about too much bass, This is a first.
I tend to agree, you seem like you might be happy disconnecting it (and removing it, hell it takes up cargo room!) My Non Alpine system had a good amount of bass, and I LIKE bass, without a subwoofer.

I know it is an in thing the push the bass..not saying neither here nor there about that...but as a former musician (still play at home for fun <i play guiar, bass, and keyboard>) i like to hear to the full spectrum of the music not just the bass. I have found a happy place with my EQ....

In some cases, people may find a sub woofer overbearing, it all depends on your hearing and how you've listened to music in the past, everyone hears it differently. I wish I had some other answers as far as how to adjust the level's or gain on the built in amplifier, but I have no experience with the stock amplifiers in Alpine outfitted trucks.. although I would be interested to know if this is possible.
