Hi all! Just joined the site to get some help with a persistant problem discussed elsewhere. Move to Colorado four years ago with my 04 2500 Cummins 2WD SLT that I bought in 08. It's a hoss and a helluva truck, but I found out rather quickly that 2WD doesn't work well in the Rockies, without chains. So I bought what I could afford at the time, a 2011 1500 Hemi 4WD Bighorn with 196K. The 04 sits covered up with snow from Nov-Apr. Wife wants me to sell it but hell no. Its only got 138k on it, never tuned, all stock. 2WD don't sell well in these parts, so I'm hanging on to it. Thought about taking it to the flatlands to sell it, but nope. See y'all later!

So what’s the persistent problem? They’re easy to get rid of, you just gotta give them half of everything.

The 5.7 hemi falls on it's face under load at highway speeds, no codes. Already changed PCV valve because oil was pulling into air filter. That helped some. I've got a problem of some kind at the MAP sensor. Gonna start with a new OEM sensor and see if that's it. Every time I take the sensor out and clean it, it runs good for a few trips, then starts it bogging again. Maybe a bad seal. Oring looks okay, sensor is loose in the bore. Been adding a little grease to help it seal.

I moved to Colorado once with a 2wd truck, but that was over 40 years ago. They were very common in those days. I sold it and ended up with an old Jeep Waggoneer. It went everywhere but needed repairs. A modern Ram diesel is like a spaceship. The old trucks really make me appreciate it.

I just sold a good welded al fishing boat that I have had for 16 years. I did not get what I wanted out of it, but feel very relived not to own it any longer. Just sell your truck and move on.
