Couple weeks ago i tried to use the GPS and it was off by 100miles. No matter what i did, it would not work. Today i updated uconnect and even tried a factory reset. Now it tells me I am in Texas but i live in Canada BC. I checked in the where am i feature but i have no satellite signal at all. Now the arrow doesn't even move on the map when i go down the road. Also, after i did the factory reset my screen boots and shows a SRT logo instead of Ram lol.

Set up a appointment at the dealer for Monday. Anyone else experience these issues. I have had minor issues with the NAV before but nothing like this.

The reason it thinks you're in Texas and has the SRT logo is because you reset it back to factory defaults. Usually just leaving the ignition off for a few minutes then turning it back on will allow the radio to learn the features of your truck.

Also you have to change the city back to where you are or it's not going to work.

Dealer checked it out and they are ordering a new unit. This will be the second radio they have needed to replace.

Yes. I live in Vancouver Canada lol. Also, no matter what i do the arrow does not move at all. It just stays stuck in 1 location. They put a new radio in and it didnt change anything. Maybe the antenna is broken?

Interesting, haven't ran into that before. Antenna would be my next thing to look at.

It must be the antenna. I have no sat signal at all. Sirius is stuck on acquiring signal........

Definitely sounds like a signal/antenna problem.

The satellites over Canada are turned on, because mine is working fine in Mission,BC ;)

Considering he has not been on site in over a year you may be waiting a long time,

Hi Mumbulo,

Sorry to hear about this! We would recommend checking your navigation settings to ensure you have the correct state selected. Also, you can re-calibrate your GPS signal by driving under 5mph clockwise in a circle. If this doesn't help we would recommend checking for any update for your Uconnect system by entering your VIN here: https://www.driveuconnect.com/support/software-update.html.

I suffered a similar issue after disconnecting the battery to install some after market accessories. After reconnecting it took about 3 hours for all of my settings and u-connect features to reappear. However, my GPS would not activate. The screen would constantly locate me in my driveway when I was miles away. I disconnected the battery again, for about 5 minutes. GPS started working but now the time was 8 hours and 8 minutes ahead. Reset itself after about 3 hours. Possibly due to using the second fob to start it (but not sure). Hopefully this will help some of you.

Holy crap mine is doing the same thing right now! Sxm radio is working fine, but when I select view map it shows me in Texas instead of GA. I've tried everything from disconnecting the battery, disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring to the head unit, driving in circles, freaking everything and it still shows no visible satellites. My dealer looked at it and $100 later the only answer I got was huh, well I guess since it's not under warranty you'll have to pay to replace the head unit but we're not positive that'll fix the problem. PLEASE tell me you found a fix!!

I had the same issue as well. I finally discovered that the only fix was to either remove the radio yourself and send it off to a repair facility, or have have it replaced. It is much cheaper to have it repaired. Dealers will tell that there are "issues" with this radio and it has to be replaced, and it is not cheap for them to do the replacement... I wish you luck.

I believe I read a message on Infotainment/ NavRepair support site about this being related to a malfunctioning Sierra Wireless cell modem card in the radios.

Edit: found it $300 repair ...

"GPS is not tracking location properly, "way off course". Prior to a complete failure, it may be a few miles off, or even a few states... but a complete Failure results in USA models to become fixed on "S Flores St. San Antonio, Texas" and Canadian Models become fixed on "Rue Berri, Montreal Quebec"
