UConnect Update...Not So Much!

So yesterday I get an alert on my iPhone that there is a UCONNECT App update.I've never had very many issues with this app but I know there are always reasons to update from time to time.I jump right in, do the update and now my app has become useless.As soon as the app opens, it crashes.

After the last update a couple weeks ago and daylight savings time, my clock no longer syncs to GPS and the GPS thinks I am 35 miles from where I actually am at the time.

Way to go FCA. You are such a lightweight!

Guess I’ll wear a watch and dust off my old Garmin....

If your clock and GPS is off you do not have the latest update or the one a couple weeks ago failed. Should be version 18.43.01 now

Go here and put in your VIN to download and install the latest update and your problem will be fixed

When you add the 8.4 after the fact as I am planning to do soon the update won't show for your VIN so where to you go to get the download in that case?

Or you can try a VIN from another truck that you know has an 8.4. Most dealers list VINs on their used trucks so just find with a 8.4 and use that. Take a look here, all the trucks have VINs listed.

Thanks Mtnrider! Will do later today.

Would be nice if FCA notifies you that the OTA update failed. But I guess that is asking too much.

Installed the update yesterday after downloading to a USB stick. Pretty painless. Just takes some time, So make sure you leave yourself an hour to do this manually.

Guess I can put away my Garmin now...
