Hey group,
The other day I was under the front of the Ram looking around and I came across something that my 2013 Ram did not have. It was a bar of sorts, going from the passengers side to the drivers side with what appeared to be a tiny motor on the end. Look at the owners manual and cannot figure out what this strange thing is for. Any ideas?

Thanks.

It’s for the front air dam that lowers when you’re going down the highway...just don’t have the old lady hang out the bottom of the door to be certain it is working!!!

The early ones have a fixed air dam. The later run ones have the active air dam. Mine is fixed. So even though you have Aero setting on the airbag equipped trucks, you get the active air dam too.
Yep, finally looked down under, never knew I had it

^^^^^^^^ YUP, kinda started in 19, on most trims, not sure ref specific off-road, but since I just got a lowly lil 4 X 4 Bighorn, wala, I get the magical lil airdam, LMAO. The things they do to get .2 mpg more on cafe standards...

NOTE: Improved aerodynamics, wat a bunch of BS
