I also have a couple Alien Gear OWB and IWB but prefer the Kydex Jel Tech or the OWB A.G.

What about making a horizontal bracket/ cradle from wood or ? then line the holder with foam that gets compressed when you push the rifle in to hold it snug ? Now you have me thinking for my truck lol

Found this on you tube. For the roof but looks easy to fit floor

Personally, I'd like to have a pistol in my car but one thing has held me back as of late, and that is having small kids. No matter how tiny the chance, I can't live with the idea of them rooting around and gaining access to the pistol.
So I'm looking for the idea to keep my pistol secure while still promptly available. I have discovered a few good ideas on https://secretstorages.com/best-car-gun-safe/
    I'm considering this one:

Is it worth considering? What's your experience?

I have to agree 100%, in the Marine Corps we have a saying; "Prepare for the Worst, Hope for the Best". There a million scenario that can play out, all with different variables, impossible to predict. So all these comments about this, that, at work, down the street or whatever. Forget about it. As for open carry? Stupid Moron is the first thing that comes to mind. Another lesson learned in the Marines, Never Ever give up the element of surprise, NEVER. So when I see a guy with a pistol on his hip I know he's nothing. No training, no experience, Nothing. A side-arm and a long gun in the truck is practical.
