For all on this forum that live in Arizona and may need a mechanic. I found Arizona Engine Rebuilders, my truck is not done yet it should be done by 7/29/22. So far they have been great, good communication with Dave he is the middle man between customer and mechanic. He has kept me up to date and lets me know promptly of any changes. Because i am using parts and tune from Green racing it's been a little more complicated waiting for parts to come and for example I bought a new diablo tuner so i can import the tune I didn't know i had to install the diablo tuner on my truck before Green racing can install the tune. My truck is in pieces with no motor here I am stressing out trying to figure how I am going to install a tuner. I explained the situation to Dave and he is working with me to get the problem fixed. All in all I am happy with my experience Arizona Engine Rebuilders, I know my truck is not done yet but good customer service is hard to come by. As long as i get my truck back purring like kitten this place is going to have high marks for me.

Good looks! Im subscribed! Please keep us updated - Im about to do this work as well and have just changed my mind to Greene parts. Im curious what options you went with from him and ultimately if his lead time is accurate for you.

If you have pointers on how to get the diablo installed as well, please mention.

As above, good luck.

@OcallyRamFam, from Green racing i went with stage .5 HL v2 205/222 cam kit. It took little over 4 weeks to get all the parts in. The rest of the motor is stock just new parts and i will say before you start this project read the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" cause just when think you have everything you need something else will pop up. In all fairness that probably because I am figuring this out as I go.

installing the diablo tuner is pretty easy, They have done a good job of making it "plug and play". I went with the intune I3 platinum, it allows custom tunes and data logging. when you receive your tuner plug it into your computer and you might have to go onto diablo website and download the proper drivers and software. once you have done that then just make it sure its updated after that you can plug it into your truck. the port is directly under your steering wheel at least for mine I have an 09. then just follow the on screen prompts. the one thing i messed up on that i wish i knew is before you start your rebuild. Install your tuner put whatever diablo tune on your truck doesn't matter wich and drive with tune for a little bit, a week if you can it will give Green Racing a better baseline to write your tune.

with Green Racing don't be in a rush he is really good about responding but he is busy. He will answer any questions you have and walk you through the process. The only downside he is really busy and has a crap ton of customers so you have to be a little patient with him.

I got my truck back last Wednesday 8/3/22 on the way home it was running great i was being easy on her seeing how i just got the motor put back together. I live about 30 miles from the shop, as i was getting off the freeway it started to feel off, it felt like it had no horse power. then the low oil pressure light came on and the oil temp soard up to 215 degrees. everything else was normal temp, but time I limped into my driveway another mile the oil temp was above 220. I called Arizona Engine Rebuilding and told them what happend, Dave started off saying it could be a bad oil sensor, ******** was my immediate thought, but fine I told i was going to change the oil and see what it looks like.

I dropped the oil, remember the oil had not been in there for more than 5 hours, it came out bit milky-grey. You could clearly see metal way to much metal to be from a normal break in period. The oil filter was completely clogged with metal shaving. I called back Dave and told him what I found, I wish I recorded the call he basically tried to make it sound like i was overreacting. And again tried to convince that it was an oil sensor issue cause in his view oil does not rise in temp unless it low. But I told that he needs to take this truck back and inspect it again. long story short i ended up putting it on a trailer and bring it back to his shop on Saturday 8/6/22

So now I am just waiting for him to call me and tell what is wrong with it, I spoke to Dave yesterday on 8/10/22 and said he not got to my truck yet.

What the heck man! Sorry to hear this. Let us know what he says. Any pics of the filter?

I mean some metal in the oil is normal on a rebuild but it sounds like you had a ton!

Before the BS happened what did you think of the cam? Could you hear a difference?

Was it actually low on oil when you drained it? Seems like a pretty elementary thing to check for a shop that took on this level of work.
