I have a 2011 1500 Big Horn. I'm adding a backup camera so I need to swap out my stock radio for a radio with a screen. Looking for an OEM...how do I find which one is compatible with my truck?

They make two versions of the same radio, low speed and high speed, which refers to the vehicle communications. Yours takes a high speed. Best bet is to do a search on here for RBZ, RHB or RHR upgrade, or high speed radio, or touchscreen upgrade.

RBZ, no nav
RHB, nav with external uconnect
RHR, nav with internal uconnect

Radios out of these should fit

Chrysler
2008 - 2013 Town & Country
Dodge
2008 - 2013 Caravan
2009 - 2010 Journey
2009 - 2012 RAM 1500
2010 - 2012 RAM 2500/3500/4500
2007 - 2012 Nitro
Jeep
2008 - 2013 Liberty
2007 - 2013 Wrangler (verify mounting tab position)

Currently have a rhr and it leaves a lot to be desired. Aftermarket would be the better bet and have better functionality. Just my opinion.

In my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, i had the RA4 RER 730Navigation radio 7" screen
it is a High Speed CanBus, which is what you need

When you buy the tailgate camera, try to get the one with the active guidance lines, they work when you turn the front wheels

The 5" RA2 radio will work, it can display on the special rear view interior mirror or the radios screen

this video is with a 2014 Ram Tradesman with the RA2 radio, he installs the camera, this setup will be the same as you would do with yours

I have a 2011, 2500 and i am trying to do the same radio upgrade and camera. I got the tailgate camera and ordered a factory harness that came with a connector that connects into the back of the radio left side. The problem is i have tried two RHB radios now that have not worked. Both were listed as a radio replaced by another on mopar site but still came up under my model and year. I researched the one listed as available (ie not discontinued) on the mopar site and found one on eBay but the harness has a lot more wires on one side (left looking at back of radio) of the two larger connectors that go into the back of the unit. 2 large of the 3. My harness only has one set of wires in the harness connector (plugs into the right side) plus the small one. The harness I purchased for the back up cam came with a connector that connects into the other side. What am i missing here? Ram tried to tell me that you cant upgrade the radio option but we know that is some lazy parts department ********. Someone help.

Hi, I just purchased a navigation radio with backup camera from a aftermarket site. It is: carnaviplayer.com. You can purchase the radio, model 6235D and add the backup camera to it for $99. The backup camera is built into a new tailgate release that is just like the original. I don't have my yet, but they are great to deal with.

thank you, I only have the three wires in C3 that connector also is the one that came with camera harnness. its good to know that it really looks like it only effects the video portion and should have nothing to do with functionality of the radio, turning on or off. I am still at a lose of why i have tried two radios that would not power up and show on screeen unless they were defective from where i got them from.
