Nice that they fit! According to Crutchfield, they say only round speakers (6 1/2") fit in my front doors.

Are they an exact fit, or is there any modifications or adapters needed to fit the 6x9's in the front doors?

I actually just replaced my speakers with the same set up and there is some work involved to make them fit in the front doors. All speakers will need to be spliced in as the oem one's have a connecter that aftermarkets don't use.

Check here for my install

get a set of these Speaker Wiring Harnesses For select 1990-up vehicles at Crutchfield.com

and 2 sets of these Speaker Wiring Harnesses For select 1999-up vehicles at Crutchfield.com

Was searching around last night and found somewhere that someone used these on his 2011 Ram for the swap. The first one is for the dash, second is for the doors.

I have 'em on the way now.

is this just a speaker replacement off the oem head unit, or do you have an aftermarket unit installed ?

I think the base OEM stereo isnt all that bad for a stock system. It has some decent bump i think...

Just speakers with the factory touch screen unit
