So I have had my ram for 2 months, and so far all that has been done is a new dual cat back. I have $1K to drop on upgrades and was thinking a S&B air intake paired with a ported throttle body and a superchips tuner. Anything else I should change or add?

Solid line up for that price. I would go with the 85 mm ported TB we offer for the 07.

how come 85mm vs 87?

You don't have all the supporting mods to need an 87mm TB. Without LT headers and whatnot an 85mm with give you the best results for what you have done

ah ok. Probably going to pull the whole truck apart to repaint the frame and rebuild the engine while im at it along with new headers, cats and exhaust.

The 85 works best for the 3rd gen trucks, the 87 for the 4th gens all because of the engine differences. If your going into the motor and doing full exhaust you would benefit from a diablo product so you can get custom tuned. During the rebuild its easy and cheap enough to slip in a cam along with 6.1 springs and rods since they will all be out.
