anyone here thinking of trading in for a 4th gen, I am. Truck will be paid off in FEB and my truck is coming up on 100k. I love my truck to death, but really like the 2010 rams. If any one here is thinking of doin it, Why? what model? And what differences Powertrain wise does the 2010 have that makes it better-worse than the 3rd gens.

well, I went from a 2008 to a 2010. MAJOR difference. I've taken a ride in a 02-05 as well, and man........the interior upgrade is WELL worth the upgrade. The motor is sweet, more power, who doesn't want that? The stock duals integrated into the bumper - SWEEET. The crew cab is seriously awesome, if you can live with a 5'7" bed. I can.......I don't really use the bed. LOL

Things I don't like about the 2010:
Alpine stereo system......it sucks. Mine came with it..........and I hate it. Thats fixable.
Back seats can't do the flip trick. The C brackets are welded in.
Thats it..........I love this truck!
Changing a headlight bulb requires you to remove the headlight. To do that, you have to remove the grill. Thats ***, and I have scratched my upper bumper pad doing so.

Just get one, and join me in the 4th gen section. Its kinda lonely there. :D

agree with the others, but its always nice to have a new vehicle.

My buddy just traded in his 08 QC 4x4 Hemi for a '10 CC 4x4 Hemi. The ONLY thing he misses about his 08 is the look. He said dodge really got it right with the interiors and driveability of the 4th Gens.

He should be signing up on here soon. There are at least 5 guys that i know of at work that have '10's. All CrewCab 4x4 Hemi's. 2 Red Sport(with R/T hoods), a black, a blue sport, and a silver. I'm tryin to get em all on here! haha

I think in the looks department.......there are things I miss about the 08, but then again - the 10 kicks nuts. The back, I LOVE. The front, still growing on me. After the projector retro, I'm liking it more (bug eyed!), HAHA.

I'd love to get a RC,SWB R/T but I'm betting I can mod mine the way I want for about 1/2 that $... So I'm trying hard to HOLD BACK!!! Nothing like a new ride, except a heavily modded old one...

hmmmmmmm LOL half say go, half no. Im still up on the fence about it. Like i said, it will be paid off soon. Thats a extra 350 a month for goodies. And ive had this truck since it had bout 19k on it. done all the work myself, have never missed a fluid change by more than 100 miles, and i know the truck inside and out. But new truck, new engine, new options.................new payment....... Damn I think once i get my scratched fenders fixed and she looks like new ill change my mind. Its drivn me nuts. I felt alot better after i painted the underside black. looks almost like new. O well guess ill just keep listening to opinions till the day comes wen shes all payed off and that shines new hemi stares at me every time i drive by the dealer. I dunno I think gettin rid of my truck would be like taking ur dog to be put down, The longest ride ever, a Tear in your eye, but the truck dont know, shes running like a champ, Then you pull in the dealer and she sputters a little, wondering whats going on. Then as you drive away in the new ride you see your baby in the rear view crying, looking sad. Then your awsome neighboor buys it the next day and treat it like crap!!!!!!!!!!! HMMMMMM dunno if i can do it

Thought about it, not trading it in but just buying a quadcab sport, silver of course. Figure that way I can have my race car and use the 4th Gen for my daily driver. Just dont have the $$$ to do that just yet.

I hope mine makes it that far. Have you had any issues once you went over 100K?

On the engine, besides oil (5 times) n plugs (2 times), just the cam position sensor. That's it...

not bad. I really hope mine makes it that far. I'm almost at 80K

You better be able to get that out of these trucks, it be just sad if all you get is 100k and its done. I just rolled over 71000 so if all I get is another 30k out of it I'll be pissed

I was saying 200K. I think mechanically I will be good, body (rust) might be a different story living in PA. I already had to do a little work on my back bumper to remove rust.

Mopar you went further in the last 2 months than i'll put on in almost 2 yrs. you must do a lot of highway miles.

Badfish, do the smart thing and hang on to the current truck. Its nice to have a new truck, but its only new until you drive it off the lot. 2 weeks later you'll have lost the "new truck" buzz and you'll be right where you are with the one thats paid off.

Yes, 99% highway miles on mine. The closest job I've been to in the last 20+ years is the one I'm on now. 55 miles one way.
