Upper glove box assembly

Any ideas where I can get an upper glove box, for a 2019 Ram 1500 classic? I've seen people do the swap on YouTube, and I would like to do the same, as I just have the cubby. I've called a few salvage yards, but they either want to sell the whole dash, or they don't have it.

There lies the problem, you have to get it online from sites listed above, but it is pricey considering you are just adding a cover.

You can get the parts individually, but it will cost about about $80 more. Even with Shipping, the net savings is about $55.

How does the lid and box come out? I want to swap out the glovebox light, but can’t reach it.

Figure it would be easier to pull the whole unit. I don’t want to damage the ears trying to pop it out.

You have to remove the bottom glove box first, there are 1 or 2 screws on back of upper glove box you have to remove to slide it out. This is a good video for it.

I installed the upper glove box 2 weeks ago. Took 45 minutes or so. Bought it from "allmoparparts" I believe is the name. Was 250.00 plus shipping. The sent me the wrong color (black) the first time and the correct color the second time. You will need an extension to reach the screw attaching the old cubby. Looks like it was always there now. Can't believe they would not have this as factory equipment. Oh well!!!! By the way, if you have the time to search, you can get it cheaper, just don't have the time and wanted to get it done. Does help off load the crap I had in my center console bin...

I paid about $250 as well. It seems like too much for what it is, but it looks so much better, plus I was able to use it to mount my Audio Control LC2i Pro, since it's so shallow you can't put a whole lot in it anyway. The empty cubby looks like it's broken to me, like it should have had a door, but it was missing.

I would like to get that kit just to confuse the wife.
When she climbs in with that box of tissues she crams in the cubby hole above the glove box and to see the look on her face when cubby hole is -gone-.

For whatever reason the prices for upper glove box kit have always been crazy. I paid around $200 for mine back in 2014. I looked for a used one for several months before I bought the kit new but couldn't find anything.
