exactly, even the cheap little compressors are capable of airing up 100psi and usually have a 10 or 15 amp fuse.

as for the OP, you have 12v power ports in your cab

John has a point, the 110v out in the dash is made for cell phone chargers and such, maybe a tablet, My book says what the out put is and while I can't remember, somthing like 2 amps, which sure will not run a small compressor.
My truck, while a 14 has 2 12volt one by the cup holder and one under the lid, and one in the back center for back seat.
