i don't have anything in mine. i like the clean look so cupholders and everything are empty. anything i need is stored out of sight in the console or glove compartment. my step-son has a 2018 Sierra and keeps his gun and holster in his side pocket there. very similar setup as the Ram. i'm left handed or i would probably keep my gun/hostler in there but i keep mine either on my hip or in my door pouch

Mine isn’t nearly large enough to fit a firearm in.

Yeah I actually tried my M&P Shield in it last night in my AlienGear holster. Not even close to fitting

Can you cut the one out to access manual shifter if installed in a tradesman ?

I made up a crude bracket and screwed an old CB radio to it and then dropped the bracket down the drivers side. Works well and doesn’t interfere with my seat, knee, or anything else.
I’m on the highway for a couple hours every day and pull a toy hauler regularly through the spring and summer months so why the hell not since I had the radio lying around.

Yes, I added the Console on my previous 2012 that had the 4X4 floor shifter!!
I only have a few pics and they really don't show how to do it. You basically cut a 3X5 inch long hole on the inner drivers side of the console, The shifter is basically right there and all you do is grind the weld on the mounting bracket and rotate the shifter towards the drivers side/reweld. I had to make some fine adjustments but they can be done with a torch or press. I had planned on having a custom boot made but never did!!!

Not mine, just a pic I found. Making a joke and point at the same time.

I normally put files in it that I don't want sliding off the passenger seat. But, they are always in Manila folders and have never slipped into the "land-of-the-lost". I can easily see how small items would fall in there and be hard to retrieve. Not sure what they were really meant for though. I tried putting my XD-40 in there but it wasn't even close to fitting.

That's why I like the 6 seater with the folding arm rest, it's dual function.
