you can but it will be under powered and not worth the speaker upgrade. You would have to stay around 25 watts RMS to benefit from it. I upgraded my doors to 3 way 6x9s that are 100w rms and its got a bit more tone but not as lod as it should. I have alpine system too.

If I had the cash I'd rewire the system and get a good 4 ch amp and get some power to the doors.

^^ Not quite the route I would take. We do components off headunits and it isn't bad. They aren't to their potential but usually an upgrade. Doing it off a factory amplifier makes them a tad better. It's a first step. Will it be an upgrade? I don't know the Alpine is impressive. Will it be an upgrade if you add some power later down the road? Probably.
