Does anyone have any experience with this?

https://www.lmperformance.com/827868/vrx-h1-vararam-vr-power-wedge-for-4th-gen-57l-hemi-trucks.html

I have the vararam air grabber installed on my truck, and will be ordering and installing Moe's 87mm throttlebody in the near future.

From what i understand, throttle body spacers are essentially pointless on our motor. I'm wondering if adding this will actually do anything, or if its just snake oil.

Any/all input/opinions help.

All of their specs that they list are for the LS engines. Tilting the throttle body port on the Ram would also mess with the angle of the Vararam itself and may not make it sit quite right. I’m not sure what they’re thinking but it sounds like something I wouldn’t buy without several people buying it and trying it for a while first.

Its interesting the tech aspects of it, but LS motors pull air in on the horizontal axis, so it kind of logically makes sense...our trucks pull vertical and a 90degree redirection ...Id be a bit skeptical of it....need a guinea pig....

I can understand a tilt at the throttle body helping to smooth the air flow out instead of hitting the bottom of the intake at a 90 degree angle and dispersing from there. But unless the throttle body is able to be better angled and there’s no lip that would catch the air under it with that wedge being installed I don’t see it doing anything to be honest as it’s basically a spacer at this point with a tiny angle. I’d want to see actual dyno proof that it works on a Ram before even considering it.

I think I'll spend my money on something with proven results---a 12 pack

Hell, for the price I might consider being the guinea pig. Best case, I see some small gains. Worst case, I wasted $100 and can help steer others away from it.
It definitely wouldnt be the worst way I've ever wasted some cash, thats for sure.

Sorry but I can think of better ways to spend a $100. New fishing poles, more steel for the new smoker build, window tint for the Ram.

That’s a whole lotta beer or whiskey I’d be missing out on!! I’d call them and ask for dyno specs from a Ram with it installed before buying it.

how about the vendor / manufacturer stands behind it? why should the consumer be the guinea pig?

Since there are no specs on it for a Hemi engine at all, there’s no proof they’ve done any testing to a Hemi engine with and without the wedge, so they have nothing to back up what they’re saying. All they’ve done is testing on a LS engine which is a different beast and I wouldn’t take the results from it and apply it to a Hemi. So, as far as I can see the testing would be on a customer and once it’s put onto an engine, who’s to say they would take it back??

@16RamHemi. I agree with you that the vendor should stand behind and test their product but their claims are bogus from what’s on the website unless Rams are now coming out with LS engines installed in them with Vararams for intakes. That’s my whole thing.
