Is there a trick to getting this things out? Two came out, but the other two were really stuck and the top of the solenoid came off.

There's only 1 VVT solenoid, but there are 4 MDS solenoids.Alot of guys run a long wood or sheetmetal screw into them and then use the screw to pull the solenoid out

Appreciate the info. Didn't know the difference between the VVT solenoid and the MDS solenoid, so that helps! I'm thinking I'll just hack out what's left of the two remaining MDS solenoids and replace them. The VVT solenoid is also stuck, and I'd really like to get it out so I can clean it too. Can I knock it out from the timing chain side?

Yes, first remove the bolt that holds them down - then rap the tops of the solenoids with a rubber mallet a few times. Don't even bother trying try to twist them out by twisting the solenoid body. They snap off very easily. Instead, grip a pair of vice grips onto the TAB at the base and work that instead.

Or, you can carefully tap the solenoid TABS at the base - so they "twist" clockwise or CCW. (With a screw driver and a hammer) to break them free. They are hard to remove and break easily so be patient.

Does anyone happen to have pictures of where the oil control solenoid and the 4 cam actuators are? I have 2024 TRX and I'm trying to find these components.

Why are you even wanting to screw around with something that is under warranty? Are you having an issue?
