Came home today and wondered why my windshield was wet....it hadn't rained all day. Then I realized it was wet on the inside. Drove it 2 days ago and it was fine. It's been windy and rainy here for a week. Checked sunroof drains....all clear water moves freely through them. When I opened the sunroof to access I heard a couple of pops now when closed the sunroof won't fully sit flush in the rear. Truck was parked on an incline hood facing uphill. Headliner sagging and wet, both visors wet, center console trim starting to seperate and bubble, rear seat covers damaged, carpet soaked. I don't think 3rd bake light leak would wick that much water to the front of the truck. Is the xm antenna my only other option? It has all original glass so possibility of a windshield seal leaking? Just trying to figure out where to go from here. I have an appointment 1/3 for warranty clear coat repair and no dealer within 150 miles has availability to look at it before. It's a 2018 RAM 2500 Limited still under base warranty. Just trying to minimize the damage. Have a feeling this isn't going to end well.

The fact that it looks like water got on the seats and center console leads me to sunroof. Antenna sits to far forward unless you were parked uphill

Another area that has been known to be a leak point, are the 2 sealing strips that run the length of the cab.Not saying that's your issue, but if nothing else appears to be a leak point, they'd be something to check. But if your sunroof isn't sitting flush, that'd be the obvious starting point to look at

I'll check the 2 sealing stripes. Sunroof was sitting flush until I opened it. It made a popping noise a few times upon opening then wouldn't close correctly.....like something warped. To be honest I never use the sunroof only periodically to make sure everything is clean and drains are clear. The headliner is wet and distorted a bit....not sure if that's affecting the sunroof function.

I was parked facing uphill. Center console wet, all carpeting wet, headliner front to back wet. Picture of the leather seats is the rear.

Could be antenna and could be 3rd light.. I saw condensation on my window and blew it off and your pictures reminded me...had photo..but these are my photos 2020 1500 found on 1/25/2022. Also someone said third light for problem like yours since its traveling down the path of headliner. Totally sucks!!

I have Same problem. It is from the back window. Not covered under dodge warranty.
Very rare to be caused by the rear window. It's typically the high mounted 3rd brake light. Either should be covered by the 3yr/36K mile warranty.

The OP has a sunroof that opens a whole'nother can o worms, but we never heard back.

We’ll the truck sat from 12/16 until 1/4 (first appointment available within 2 1/2 hours of me) with wet interior. Dealer couldn’t find water leak. Said headliner damaged from water intrusion, so he knows there is a leak. Had to submit pictures and parts list to see if repairs and replacement is approved. Ordering sunroof assy, center console, headliner and seat covers. I’m still waiting to see if they get approval to pull carpet since I had standing water in it for 3 weeks. Vehicle has been at the dealership for almost a month now. It’s under 3/36 and I have an extended warranty but trying to get a rental or any assistance is ridiculous.

Im in same boat no help from dealer with rental. I bring my truck in too for the water leak on Feb 3 2022. I feel carpets damp, rear seat cup holder inside was moist, headliner, speakers. We'll see what they do with me at dealer. Heres my photos so you can also compare. I have a 2020 Ram Laramie.

Just an update on my 2020 ram with water leakage. Took to dealer today and water leak was present because of rain so they said it was coming through window and 3rd light. So base on what they saw they are replacing headliner, speakers, mics, 3rd light, window and the carpet.

We’ll here’s my latest update. Called dealer yesterday to check status they advised me that Chrysler didn’t like the pictures that were submitted so they need to resubmit. My vehicle has been in the shop since 1/4/22 and only a diagnosis has been done. The truck had the water leak in December but soonest available appointment was 1/4/22. This is total bs especially because I’m still under factory warranty.

I know this is not helping any but that is why I will never buy a vehicle with a hole in the roof. I know it could be the windshield or antenna, but that hole in the roof causes so many issues it just is not worth it. Also sorry to hear about Chrysler not liking the pictures. It seems they always pull that crap hoping the customer will get tired of not having the veh and just say forget it. You are also going to have to worry about water getting into any connector if they do not get this fixed soon.
