2014 quad cab 4.7 laramie. Recently, past two weeks, water in front driver and passenger floors after heavy rains. Noticed because my back lights came on in the driveway for no reason went out to figure it out and found both carpets wet. So this seems to be coming from above the dash not the doors. Would windshield be culpret out of how many others.

Was there any evidence of dampness anywhere above the bottom of the carpet? What spot was the highest evidence you have of dampness? You can always have someone spray a hose on it for a while and see if you can find dripping? run a dehumidifier and stop mold from messing it up.

The third brake light is a known leak point in the roof. May want to inspect the antenna on the roof as well if present. If you have a sunroof ensure the drains are clear (if they clog they could cause a cabin leak too).

Thank you very much for the replies and good starting points. 1st time thought window was cracked not thinking too clearly but came back from weekend trip and had heavy rains was back to haunt me.

NO sun roof. The rear lights just coming on was the clue something was wrong and when checking that the main light switch was a little hinky and that bothers me.
Does the fact that the leak is getting to electricals behind the dash etc point to any particular spot. Going to pull out as much as I can today floor stuff etc but I'm 74 and getting into those positions of looking under dash etc is a tad difficult.
Can the antenna run just to the front cab and not spot the ceiling same with third light? Will inspect all though and getting a dehumidifier asap.
I checked how high up on the carpet and it seems to be only a small way up the front of the carpet so where are the drain holes for the door..

I'd check the A pillars for leaks from the windshield . The antenna could let water run down the cable to the floor and the third brake light could also leak without evidence on the headliner (but under the rear seat would be wet first).

I also own an Ozone generator to kill mold down thr the roots, not just the spores. I bought it off Amazon for about 150 dollars or so.

The spot with the hightest dampness was front outside corner of the door. If the drain hole is a rubber gromet in the door frame in the middle of the lower hinge that was cocked. The passanger side was the same, but not as wet at all , problably1/4 to 1/3 as much, since both are just as old and no wrecks makes sence that both could clog at the same time with one ahead of the other.

Than you everyone for your advice. It helped me immensely.
I took truck to our best body shop and they literally have a leak expert. Took insides apart found leak, checked all other known leak spots, even replaced gasket on taillight at my request. I mean why wait dried the thing out lifting carpet and pad from Wednesday to Monday and it only ran me 300.00. Being 74 there was no way for me to turn my body into a pretzel inside a truck cabin. I don't need another Orthopedic office call and MRI.
Again thanks and this forum is awesome.
