Using the weight distribution hitch as set up for my previous F150, the front raised about 1/4” and the rear lowered maybe an inch. Totally unloaded though. I guess that’s coil springs vs leaf. Guess I’ll need to reset up the hitch, but then?? Brought it home 10 miles or so with no issues. Then I dropped the truck off at a dealer to have a TBC installed.

I want that trailer....

You will probably have to set up the WDH for the new truck, especially once you get your gear in the trailer.

I want that trailer....
Lol... 10k and it’s yours. 1963 Streamline Countess. 26’. The wife is working on painting the inside this weekend. She doesn’t like the colors. Lol! I picked it up earlier this year from a friend thinking we’d use it, but we haven’t had time to get out.

Nooooooooo! Don't let her paint it :) The retro colors look great. That's an awesome trailer.

If my wife and I could survive together in a small space I'd love something like that.

Sweet! I love that style trailer. We had one when I was a kid and we went everywhere with it.

Well the wife came home with paint, it’s getting a make over. Picking up the truck tomorrow with a factory break controller installed. I suspect I’ll be packing wheel bearings this weekend. I have no idea if the electric breaks work on this thing, but if I pull a wheel I might as well pack the bearing. I pulled it fine with my F150 without a controller, so I’m not too worried. Dry weight is maybe 3.6k. TEXAS requires a controller for anything 4.5k or more.

It is always best to reset the WDH... It might end up the same but the short amount of time it will take is easy enough for piece of mind.

And as for me... no slides, no way :hidesbehindsofa: but I agree it is very nice

Wow, I would have guessed much heavier. Back in the day efficiency and lightweight were not exactly things anyone cared about. Maybe it looks bigger in the picture. How many feet is it?

It’s 26’, but remember it’s mostly aluminum. It does have a steel chassis, but above that it’s all aluminum. They pulled these with station wagons and full sized cars back in the day. Google streamline countess for specs.

Correction to the weight. It was originally 3800 lbs, but the pressurized water tanks has been removed and an ac and fridge replace with electric from propane. It needs full hookups since it has no water tank or black tank or gray tank. I kinda like not having to deal with a black tank.

Very cool looking old rig! That will be a great project. I personally don't want a trailer with slides for many reasons, but to each their own. They do open things up a lot that's for sure.

I should have said slide-outs. Makes the interior a lot bigger.
Ah... we’re only two and don’t take up much space. Plus a small dog, lol. Our intent is to use for a year and see how we like it. Then sell it and buy something newer if we decide to. Photography is my hobbies and it will let me take more trips around the good state of Texas for photos.

Good plan on testing it out.

Could you imagine somebody pulling that with a station wagon. Man you’d give a few people in here an aneurism for sure:driver:
