Ok, so I'm getting addicted again. It started with the i2, now I just ordered the catch can and VaraRam intake from Moe's. I really like the customer service and the prices are good.

FYI, if I stop posting in a week assume my wife has killed me and buried me in the back yard. This is the exact same way my $500 mustang project snowballed into a two year $10,000 endeavor.

Next comes t-stat, throttle body, custom tune , headers then it will feel slow after a couple weeks and you will be trying to spend more money. it never ends.

Probably a question I should've asked before I bought the intake, but does anyone know about the filter? Is it a throw-away or is it reusable? If it's a throw-away, what do I use for a replacement?

pretty sure its a one off size for the vram. you can buy new from them or get the cleaning kit

Edit: Just bit the bullet on a 4.10 install too. Sorry Matt, had to get the gears from the local installer or they won't warranty them. Same gears you sell though. These guys do A LOT of gear installs on Jeeps and Rams for all the 4x4 guys around here, so I'm comfortable with them doing it.

It's cleanable. You can use K&N cleaner kits but it will change the color of your filter or use VaraRam's cleaner kit. Matt has some so you get one from him or online.

This is a smart man!!!!! I do the same... So far the only thing she comments on are the tools I buy but I buy more in Baby toys and cloths so it equals out. That and she knows if she ever said anything about what I spend on cars she'd go down the road Honestly I don't think she minds we go to a dozen or more car shows a year. I think she has the bug just like me

Oh I get tons from the grandparents too so much I'm giving tons away to people I know having a girl , but as for tools I'm rebuilding my collection. When the "divorce" at the Farm happened I lost alot of tools and equipment. (long story). Slowly getting everything back to where I was before. Tools and equipment is expensive. And to explain the tool addiction we had our own weekly scheduled stop from the Snap-on guy, every thursday he would come out to the shop on the farm, Now that's being spoiled.

The cleaning kit for the Vararam is a lot cheaper option than a new or extra filter. I think the filters sell for $75-$80. Matt has the cleaning kits.
