What causes the power steering hose to leak from here, is it the hose that goes bad or the clamps or both? What’s a good fix? This is from a 17’ and exact same spot on my 08’. That’s just right under the radiator

Not this one. Maybe because it’s a 2500. The 08 is a 1500

My '18 2500 CTD has a slow power steering leak too. Haven't investigated it yet. About every 5 months I top it off.

Take the clamp off, take hose off the metal connection. If the hose looks good, (if I have enough slack in the hose I usually cut off the part the old clamp was on) clean everything up good and put a regular hose clamp on it. Do NOT over tighten the screw. You want the clamp tight but not cutting into the hose.

I would wipe all the hoses off, then drive it around the block or to the store & a minute or so after the engine is shut off, look at the area, i think you have a pin hole leak & it is squirting just a bit.

You may need to use a mirror if your truck sits low, or drive one wheel up on a curb

I do that with all my OEM one-time clamped hoses. Just replace the hose every few years is cheaper than routing a replacement hose. Just one word of advise, especially with coolant lines that carry the engine oil: double clamp! Use two clamps next to each other.

It almost looks like a leak at the high-side fitting. Both hoses are wet but the low side is only wet below the high-side hose where they cross. Also, the wire loom behind that point is also wet. The best guess there is the oil is being blown back in the wind.
