That's awful! I don't want to jinx it but I'm at 179k on my 545rfe and have been somewhat surprised it's still going. 69k seems very low mileage to give outPulled the POS 66RFE with only 69,000 miles on it out of it. Very disappointing.
Man that looks good!!Finally washed 'er for the first time in a few months. which led to a nice sun rise when I got back home from work. Still debating on which bumpers I want to buy since my rear bumper is still caved in.

I did the same job with the same fluid recently. Whoever invented those squeeze bags is a geniusDid the rear diff fluid change today. Long overdue, only 2nd time I did it in 160K miles.
Fluid looked pretty good though. Used Valvoline synthetic 75w140. First time using those squeezable bags, made the job easy. About 2 and a half quarts.
I have been using KROWN for past few years and it does drip awhile after sprayed ! Wool Wax is starting to show its face up here so may give it a shotI sprayed frame (inside and out) with Woolwax. Actually more of a touchup. I bought a 5 gallon pail 4 years ago and still got about half of it left. That stuff really stays put, unlike fluidfilm. It's also lanolin based but a thicker formula.
Love Woolwax. Imo it’s the best lanolin product you can put on any vehicleI sprayed frame (inside and out) with Woolwax. Actually more of a touchup. I had one of my exhaust hangers break on a trip to NC, our company mechanic welded up for me for free, but was “less than straight”.So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.
This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Can't you just back off the bolt, and give the arm a couple good whacks? It's how I've always done ball joints without buggering things with a pickle fork or fancy tool.Put in new front brake pads today after realizing the ball joint removal tool I bought is too small, gonna take care of those too in the next few days.
