Carrier plates!!! I've replaced three of them now in my truck. 68k miles btw...

Is this just a Dodge thing? I replaced a dozen window regulators in my Dakotas and Rams over the years. Was a known issue...

Thought they would have figured it out by now. Our newer RAMs are still crap. I don't even want to lower my windows now in fear of them breaking and taking months to get back in stock. Last one I replaced cost me almost $700 and was peak covid times.
I remember carrier plates all the way back to the early 4th gen f bodies. (Like 93 or 94) They were terrible back then, you'd think manufactures would've abandoned the idea back then. But it's all about how they can get them down the assembly line the fastest. If it survives the warranty that's a bonus. I had to remove mine the first winter I had my Ram because I (stupidly) tried to open the window while it was partly frozen. Luckily for me it just popped the clip that attaches the window to the regulator.

Didn't do it today, but last week before I went camping I got new band clamps for my Flowmaster FlowFx muffler. I put it on 2 years ago and the pipes had moved slightly and when I tried to loosen the bolt they broke. I got Evil Energy band clamps and really like them. They cinch up real tight and exhaust hasn't moved since I put them on. The other clamps would occasionally allow the muffler to slide back slightly or pipes to move a little. I repositioned them multiple times. Grabbed the new clamps on Amazon.

The two number 1s had melted ends.

Drove it about 120 miles today and the code cleared. Went to about 7500 ft elev, up Lee Canyon Road and out to Indian Springs and back. It cleared about a mile from home. 20240419_155358.jpg20240419_155434.jpg20240419_160501.jpg

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I did a quick wash last Saturday, 4 days later it was covered again, the pollen is the worst I can remember.
I washed this weekend & then put in the warehouse to wax, already had light coating of pollen on hood & roof just in the amount of time I was doing sides & wheels.

Not exactly sure when it happened, but noticed it yesterday. I'm not even sure what happened because there's 2 dents inward, and the center is creased outward and cracked the paint.

Replaced the front wheel bearings this past weekend. It took almost 4 hours due to rust seizing everything together. Thankfully a 4lb sledgehammer managed to break everything apart. Next step is an oil change and tire rotation.
